The Team

Tj Smith
Director, Editor, Camera Operator and Production Designer

My love of costume started at a very young age. Being brought up with classic film, by my grandmother, I fell in love with the glamorous costumes of Grace Kelly, Vivien Leigh and Streisand. This love of classic film lead me to study Film at Queens University.

Having always had a love for creating and designing, I started actively learning costume construction in January 2015. By July I had single-handed designed and costumed a show of 20 people. I graduated from Queens in 2017 with a BA (With Hons) in Film Studies and then got a diploma in costume construction.

Carol Brandon

Carol has over twenty-five years of global experience in advertising, marketing and strategic market research. She has worked as a board level executive for several major advertising agencies and market research companies, most recently for Ogilvy & Mather London and Interbrand. Her media clients include QVC, BBC, emusic.com, Gems TV and ITV as well as award winning advertising agencies like TBWA, Publicis, BBH and VCCP.

She attended the same American high school as the drummer in The White Stripes and the same university as James Earl Jones and Madonna. Carol has worked in the US, UK, Europe and Africa, presented at conferences, taught at the London Business School, trained account planners and researchers, worked with ethnographers and film makers, appeared on Richard and Judy and BBC3, and was interviewed by the Times of London on the research she conducted relating to the television show “Desperate Housewives”.

This is Carol’s second television series idea to be developed. She thinks this is more fun than all the other work she’s ever done.

Aaron Eccles
Producer and Production Manager

I originally graduated from Queens University Belfast with a degree in Computer Science. The course taught me how to break a large problem into a series of small steps leading towards a solution. I lead several small teams of developers and thoroughly embraced the managerial aspect of the role. I developed my project management skills but realised my true passion always lay in film.

So I quit my job and started Drawn in Pen Productions in 2015.

My role involves meeting with clients, analysing requirements and designing a solution, overseeing production, whilst ensuring the project is delivered under or on budget and within the required time-frame.
